Habitat for Humanity
About once a month, Key Clubbers participate in the Tomball Habitat for Humanity. They assist in building and painting parts of new homes for lower income neighborhoods.
The Box In Lock In
This Key Clubber favorite, The Box In Lock In, sucessfully raised over $10,000 for Feeding America this past fall, and the on top of it all, Macy's matched the money raised, making a grand total of $20,000! The Members are encouraged to decorate and spend the night in a box. Activitites such as Guitar Hero and Four Square keep students awake the whole night through!
UNICEF
Members “Trick or Treat” for UNICEF, an official Key Club International charity, during the week of Halloween every year.
March of Dimes
Key Club members collect for the March of Dimes drive to prevent birth defects, another Key Club International charity, in the spring every year.
Bedroom Slipper Drive for www.fuzzyfeet.org
Members donate bedroom slippers in support of a national charity, fuzzyfeet.org, and give the slippers to the children hospitalized at Texas Children's Hospital.
Elementary School Festivals
Members run carnival games and concessions for school, church, and neighborhood festivals.
Houston International & Children’s Festivals
Members volunteer each year at these large, downtown festivals working games, selling tickets, concessions or other booths.
Special Olympics
Key Club members volunteer each year at bowling, volleyball, bocce ball, basketball, and track and field competitions throughout the year and also help with bowling practices.
Giant Story Coloring Books
The Key Club is again selling giant coloring books this year. The books are 16x21 inches and make great Holiday gifts! Titles include: Andy Learns his ABC's and Numbers, Christmas Around the World, Giant Book of Nursery Rhymes, Silly Milly's Secret Wish, The Wizard of Oz, 'Twas the Night before Christmas. If you would like to purchase a book, ask a Key Club member or contact Mr. Tarpley in Room 6018
Key Club members hold a food drive each spring and either donate the items collected to Northwest Assistance Ministries or use the items to build an art project at Willowbrook Mall as part of NAM’s “Art for the Hungry” project. All food items from the art project are later donated to NAM.
Muscular Dystrophy Association
Key Club members volunteer each year at the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon taking telephone pledges and also helping at MDA’s “Stride and Ride” event at Katy Mills Mall helping with registration, refreshments, and entertainment.
